Thought for Today – My Hope and Contentment It is thrilling to minister the Word of God! For reasons that He has predetermined, I am the most effective to people who have little or no hope. For instance, yesterday I ministered to guys at Brother Bennos in Oceanside, CA. They connected with me when I shared from my chair and speaking device that Jesus accepts all of us exactly where we are – with disabilities and the ungodly lives from the past. After my message, they discussed it and thanked me sincerely for coming. I appreciated their affirmation because sometimes I forget how God uses me. I knew it from before. In thinking to myself, I wouldn’t trade my being born with cerebral palsy for a normal life – whatever normal is. At the same time, it has always been my desire to leave this earth walking to show the world that God is the Almighty God, Who does miracles. I don’t want to be healed for myself but for people to revere Him. As I get older with my disability, it is easy to ask the Lord to take me home with Him. Just when I have that temptation, I remind myself of the desire and dream that He has placed in my heart years and years ago. If this dream doesn’t materialize, however, I still will thank God for my disability in being able to minister to people who have little or no hope.
