Thought for the Day: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15 This statement, spoken by our God, was directed to the serpent after the fall, when Eve, accompanied by her husband Adam, deliberately disobeyed the only “No” given to Adam when He placed him in the beautiful Garden of Eden. This verse, which theologians call the “proto-Gospel”, contains in seed form the virgin birth, the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus to defeat sin and its consequences forever, and the ultimate defeat of Satan. From the day these words were spoken, there has been a holy anticipation in the heart of every human being – a waiting, longing, eager expectancy – something is about to happen, or rather, Someone is coming!
