Thought for the Day: With the winter holiday season upon us one - TopicsExpress

Thought for the Day: With the winter holiday season upon us one of the questions most asked is What do you want for Christmas? or Are you finished your shopping? As the years pass what we want and what we have can either grow further apart or we can come to realize there really isnt anything we want anyone to buy for us as a gift. We either feel a distinct sense of lack or a profound sense of abundance. The 10 of Pentacles speaks to us of ancestral gifts and abundance. Yet it also includes family values, traditions, knowledge and wisdom passed from generation to generation. Where would I be today without the guidance of my Grandmother? My Mom and Dad were the first pebble dropped into what became my Pond of Reality and the ripples are still spreading and rebounding today over 6 decades later. We receive these Gifts of Spirit from those who touch our lives and who our lives touch. Its a very reciprocal exchange. Even those who we wish desperately had given us different gifts have donated to a collective that has succeeded in assisting us to become who we are Now. We may or may not understand why people and events unfold as they did and do. We may or may not rail at the Heavens and demand better treatment or even better results for all our work and effort. But in the end its what we have and what we do with it is up to us. Owning a pipe wrench doesnt dictate you shall become a plumber. It only means you had need of one at some point. So when my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I honestly said Nothing. I have everything I want and need. Not the answer he was looking for and I finally did have to pick something. (Im getting a new pair of winter shoes.) That isnt to say there are not blank spots that need filling. But Ive learned to Trust. I know in the core of Who I Am that what I need is always provided. No amount of worry or anxiety are going to fill those spots. It will happen according to the work and attention I place on those spots. Its up to me to decide how that part of my Journey will proceed. For now, I am grateful for each and every moment that brought me to this Here and Now. No, its not perfect, but its exactly what I need. Therefore I am Grateful. And I am Blessed. Thank you all for sharing this amazing Journey with me.
