Thought for the day: Scripture reference and then some textual real talk to follow... Galatians 6:1-3 If a [person] be overtaken in a fault, ye which are [saved], restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one anothers burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Straight up: You say you are a Christian, you see someone that has messed up, fell away, backslid -- if you are truly saved, you dont start flapping your jaws about them, you dont hate on them, you dont beat them down, you dont condemn them with your words..... You attempt to help them back up, you love them, you extend a merciful hand to lift them back up. As Christians, we should be looking to restore folks!! We must learn to allow folks to lean on us fro, time to time... Stop hurting those who are already hurt... Stop announcing to the world about this backslider and that backslider that is on their way to Hell. They already know they are not where they need to be and YOU are NOT helping.. instead, lift them up, love them, help them, gently correct them in a soft and humble way... You havent arrived so get off the pedestal. We are all born into this broken world in need of a Savior and in need of one another... Lets show more love, lets reach out to the broken, lets do our part to help restore them... This is just some Real Talk coming at ya. God Bless!
