Thought for the day So i thought if radio ulster can have father whoever and the right rev whatchamacallim on bleating their nonsense to everyday folk everyday then why cant i after all the only thing really seperating us is a knowledge of theology which is the intellectual equivalent of a degree in finger painting . Over the last while i have felt myself under assault from the religous , everywhere you turn they have something to say about every topic imaginable and yet nobody scoffs or sneers at them for fear of offending their sensibilities even when the reality of the situation is once they put on a dog collar they are in effect saying i will believe in anything without proof or evidence or fact as a younger man i once asked a priest who was a family friend did he believe in aliens ,he blithely informed me that no there was no evidence for it , the irony wasnt lost on me . Yet the religous zealot is afforded every luxury the media can afford them from the humble radio ulsters thought for the day to whole channels devoted solely to them ,constantly pushing their indoctrination ,religion is a vile evil invented by men to enslave their fellows through superstition and rite and its overdue in the 21st century that we woke up to it , for your penace today say four show me the proofs and two theres no basis in facts rant over
