Thought for the day........ The perspective of the wife of a police officer. When most are safe in their homes the police officer is out in the world risking their life every day to preserve order and keep the population safe. Snow storm..... He is out there driving in it to help people who get stuck in the snow or get into an accident..... State of emergency he is out there in the middle of the crisis risking his life again.... Getting shot at by people who try to live above the law and just plan do not care about the rules that society has set up to create order etc ..... On the side of a road getting run over by people who are not paying attention while driving there car.... High speed chases or foot pursuits knowing again putting his life on the line for us!!! I could go on and on but I think this is enough to get my point across. Men and woman who choose to work in law enforcement do choose to do what they do! They risk their lives try to keep the population safe ! Imagine for a moment what it must be like to face these challenges every single day? Yes they chose this life and thank you to every single one of them for choosing! I know I could not do it! There are good people bad people happy people sad people crazy people and kind people ..... Brown people gold people white people brown eyed people blue eyed people.... Look around you the United States is a big mutt mix now!! That is what can make the U.S. So beautiful and amazing!! it seems to me that people are angry very very angry! Anger projected outward and transferred to another thing or person does not heal or allow anyone of us to heal our wounds. Compassion takes strength and courage and the ability to think for ones self and not just follow the herd..... Respect for every human soul is difficult in our society and belief system .... Respect and compassion will take us a lot further than the hate and judgement that is happening now ! Deep in our core we all want the same thing love and respect!!! I challenge u to really look inside of your heart and ask what is at your core! I guarantee it is the same for every single one of us! There is something to be said about the saying treat others as you would want to be treated! Something to think about....... Would love to hear your thoughts xxoo
