Thought for today: This NFL Ray Rice egg on their face debacle is all about the NFL’s bottom line and not some moral awakening. Domestic violence of any type is wrong. But lets be clear, the fatherless have all but been trained to degrade and abuse women. From watching the men beat their moms, to watching them run in and out of their moms bedrooms, witnessing violence on the street, violent video games and listening to the lyrics of certain songs. It’s all been a storm brewing for a very long time. Say what you will about freedom and freedom of expression. But, this problem is deep, complicated and underexposed. Our society on a whole has been morally absent and apathetic. Goodell will eventually resign, Ray Rice will beat Janay again for costing him millions, little boys will grow into abusers, little girls will become the abused and America will exercise its short attention span and move on to something more exciting. After all, it’s the American way.
