Thought id make use of this lovely day today to complete my nomination.Thankyou to Sheridan Joyce for the nomination to participate in the ALS ice bucket challenge. I have nominated James Hendriks, Cody Versteeg and Andrew Mc (a.k.a. Whitey) to also complete the challenge, you guys have 48hrs, good luck and dont forget to donate in support of the ALS association and their continuing fight against Lou Gehrigs disease and their support for those affected by it. I will also be donating to Diabetes Australia in support of their mission to reduce the impact of diabetes Australia wide. As someone who has close family members afflicted by this condition Ive been witness to the restrictions and limitations this can impose upon someones way of life, as well as those around them that care for them. Ill be donating in the hope that it may help contribute towards the prevention and/or cure (one day) for diabetes and the continuing support of those individuals and families who are part of that struggle. According to Diabetes Australia, almost 1.1 million Australians currently have diagnosed diabetes and an estimated 280 more develop it each day, which makes diabetes one of the fastest growing chronic conditions in Australia, not to mention the world. I encourage everyone else who reads this post to donate towards these organisations battling against these conditions, ice bucket challenge or not, all donations have the power to help. alsa.org/ diabetesaustralia.au/
