Thought it about time to introduce the Lydbrook Ukulele Band and also to display the very artistic shot of our ukes taken by Jack... son of Lin from the band. So, this is us.. we are: Pam - Hat wearing contralto. Blessed with an amazing ability to harmonise even the most awkward of tunes and owner of a coveted Les Paul Ukulele. Jill - Oscillating between the electric uke and the resonator uke (with the low g string..ahem), Jill husky soprano voice suits our genre of music totally. Claire - Our resident songwriter and oracle of all things music related. Claires soprano voice can sometimes only be heard by bats due to its pitch, but when singing with us she reigns it in! Claire plays the most unusual bespoke baritone ukulele. Lin - when not teaching Lin currently plays the tenor uke, but will shortly be playing bass uke for us. Lins beautiful alto voice is often a beacon of calm amongst the ukulele shenanigans. And me ... Im the one who plays the uke which looks more like a frying pan than a musical instrument. Under Pams expert guidance... I am almost joining her amongst the realms of the contralto. So.. thats us..
