Thought of the Day - Nov. 17, 2013 Why Complain? Every night - TopicsExpress

Thought of the Day - Nov. 17, 2013 Why Complain? Every night whomever goes to bed first, our dog Gunner “Schnauzer with attitude” curls up next to their feet The other night he was lying by my son and every time he went to move Gunner would growl almost sounding like CUJO “you remember the Stephen King movie”. The noise sounded awful, but Gunner was just being vocal. I said David quit moving as you are upsetting Gunner. After a while I thought about what I had said as that was extremely silly, what was I thinking. Here is this dog that has a good home, gets fed everyday, receives treats, goes for walks and has a place to sleep, what a life. Despite all this, when one thing doesnt goes his way he complains. Sometimes we all can react in that manner. Then I thought more about it, isnt complaining the common way that feelings are directed. In major situations, sometimes complaining is necessary. It is the minor situations that should be considered before a complaint is vocalized. Think about all the positives in your life then complaining would not seem so natural. If there is an objection then that sets the tone for the rest of the day, and not a positive one. If the situation is a silly and minor scenario think before complaining. Often we have the best of times, but dont realize because negativity gets in the way. Why is it easier to complain than give a compliment? Take time today and give an unexpected compliment as you will make someones day. Thank you for taking time out of the day to read my “Thought of the Day”. Yes, I write these thoughts each and everyday. Michael encouraged me to write, as he knew this is what I enjoyed, but I didnt find the time before, now I make time. I want to thank Michael for giving me the strength to face problems as I did not realize this before. I not only taught him life lessons he also taught me, as he was wise beyond his years. I still can hear him say “Mom be who you are, dont change”. Writing is my passion so I am going to be who I am. I encourage you to be who you are and also remember compliment someone today. Have an enjoyable Sunday. Blessings.
