Thought of the Day – March 11, 2014 Protected by faith, Do you ever think why me? Why did that have to happen? Why was I put in that situation? Sometimes I look to God and feel like a umbrella was handed to me in the middle of a storm, and upon opening the umbrella I struggle, and when I finally unfold it only to realize it is full of holes. The face of fear appears in front of me with the thought of becoming drenched, and no shelter in sight. I keep the faith and trust in God, and it is at that moment when I look through the holes of the umbrella only to see the sky has cleared, and the most beautiful rainbow has appeared. I no longer ask why me? I go through each day looking for lessons to be learned and help to be offered. As each day is approached look at the entire picture that is placed in front, not just a portion of that photo because the obvious could be missed. Dont become discouraged with negative situations that may confront you. Faith will not only get you through the difficult times, it will also protect you from the feeling of helplessness. Try to approach each day with optimism because pessimism isnt worth the wasted time. Even if your umbrella doesnt protect you from the rain, remember Gods hands will protect you from the storm, and lead you toward the permanent clearing. Share a smile today. Blessings.
