Thought of the afternoon, Part II: As someone who grew up hood - TopicsExpress

Thought of the afternoon, Part II: As someone who grew up hood and has been around a fair share of gangsters mostly in my youth due to circumstances being what they were, I was sitting in a conference room this afternoon with a bunch of different people of various ethnicities and genders, but with the three white men that were present in a higher position than everyone else, and something really disturbing dawned on me: Although one is physical in nature and the other mental, I feel more uneasy around a roomful of middle class white men than I ever did in a roomful of black gangsters...I think because i have lived, worked and had to survive around both with little choice in the matter on my end, I know which one of these environments is most destructive to society...hence, there is no place for the conscious and intelligent black man (to whatever degree that I am either) in this world where he is at total ease at the collective level any place in Amerikkka...As i know I am a direct replica of my father, I never felt as much sympathy for his plight during his life as I do right now...He is gone so I cant commiserate with him or take the pain away, but I can speak to this pain if nothing else. ..
