Thought of the day: God blessed mine and Shays life on this day in 1986 with our special twin girls Brandi and Brittani ... Lord we had no idea how special these girls would be and how they would change our lives forever ... So on these special days we are together to just simply be with each other for the day knowing that both of us can be emotional at times and needs the other one to comfort us ... Yes we cry spontaneously sometimes like a water fountain and then it may turn to laughter simply knowing how much our girls are missed and still loved so dearly today! Yes the stories are many, the dreams were endless and their lives touched so many more than just Shay and I and we are so grateful that all of our friends and family accepted them for who they were ... Inclusion is so important in the lives of the challenged whether physical or mental challenged children it is those around them that help them grow and grow our girls did ... They loved life and loved to laugh and smile and were caring individuals that it exuded from them like a bright light takes over a room ... All you had to do was see their smile and you smiled back ... So today Shay and I have already left flowers and balloons at their graveside and told them as we do weekly how much we love them when we visit them ...and now the rest of the day will just be staying busy together and sharing the stories, laughing and crying Im sure as we move through the day ... We know in our hearts they are in the arms of God and are running and playing like never before ... God bless each of you for our support over the years and for understanding our feelings ... So today we celebrate Brandi and Brittanis life that they gave so many ... Put your smile on and GOD BLESS AMERICA!
