Thought on the way to church this morning... By now, everyone has seen or posted Victoria Osteens video where she brazenly states worship is not about God, its about us, along with cries of heresy and bad theology. But isnt she just stating the obvious? In 99% of the churches Ive been in, worship is pretty much about us. I really enjoyed worship today or I just didnt get anything out of it. People change churches because the worship is so much better at the new place. Churches have traditional worship at 8, contemporary at 9:30 and a blended worship service at 11 which has something for everyone!! Far from being a heretic worthy of burning at the stake, Ms. Osteen has simply described reality.
