Thought on this day - Monday 18 August 2014 From a very humble beginning some 8.5 years ago, an idea was developed with a primary objective of providing for our Rotarians/partners/friends to have a good time and excellent fellowship through fine food and fine wine. The fundraising was only a by-product re: what I set out to do. Today this by-product has now raised and helped to raise an incredible, amazing amount of money A$2.2million for various charities in Australia and overseas. And one of the main factors of its success, is the fact that none of us (the participating chefs nor the volunteers of this program) handles any money, we leave it mainly to participating Rotary clubs and/or the organising organisation/s to manage. I cannot thank enough all the participating chefs and my unsung heroes, the other volunteers who contributed money, time, effort and energy for the success of this program. Over the time, we must continue to remind ourselves of our humble beginning and that we must continue to be humble, sincere, ethical and firm in our commitments to make this a truly amazing journey for many more years to come. Thank you for your support.
