Thought that I would share this poem that I did in honor of Dr. Cliff Payne. It has been a year since he passed, but his influence is forever felt. I Remembered You When I awoke this morning with the morning dew, I remembered you. The warmth of the Sun, the morning dove’s coo, Spoke of you. But, I know that in heaven things must be fine, Living eternity without the passing of time. Singing with Jesus, walking the streets of gold. But I miss that hand to hold. When I look in the mirror, I’m a reflection of you. I cherish each moment, you helped me through. Each dream we shared, each joy expressed, Reminds me of your sweet caress. We walked life’s roads, the sunlight we shared. We laughed the same laughter; breathed the same air. Often times we tripped, but God was always there. Because He cared. Your mansion in heaven must be filled With family and friends and thrills. But I just wanted to say that we miss you That our lives are not complete without you.
