Thought this was a very thought evoking article about the unseen poverty that goes on in this country and the community driven people that are giving a helping hand. I went to school with lunch and shoes and never really thought any different about it but the statistics regarding how many kids go hungry are shocking and definitely needs to be addressed. For a man, let alone the president of the gang to admit that feeding these hungry kids has changed him, is something that society needs to take heed of and bring to the forefront of political agendas. These people are not regarded as being the pillars of society but are doing a hell of a lot more than those who know the problem exists but will do nothing to change it. No one gives a shit about David cunlifs wife bagging people online or the Kim dot com and dirty politics saga but it was all we heard through out the election and real issues such as this were not and probably will not be brought to the table. Even something as simple as making jam sandwiches daily for a muslim child who cannot eat the non-halal meat shows that these guys care about their community and want to see a change! Take away the word gang and you get to the heart of what the matter is about and its about caring for the community. I think any collective group whose idea is about helping others, whatever the organisation, is going to make a difference. - Jamie Pink : Tribal Huks president
