Thought to Ponder- ‘Churchianity’ driven by the principle of religion, the principle of the ‘world system’, is based upon self-effort and self-righteousness. It feeds from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil; it is always concerned with what’s ‘right and wrong’. My friend, it’s NOT about ‘right and wrong’ it is about ‘LIFE and DEATH’! Those who are being birthed from the womb of the morning do not feed from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, rather, they feed from the Tree of Life. Their lives are not measured against the question, ‘Is this thought, word or deed right or wrong?’ Rather, their lives are measured against the question, ‘Does this thought, word or deed bring Life or death?’ That is the ‘better hope’ of a Life that issues forth from a ‘close’ and intimate relationship with the ‘Lover of our soul’; “...a better hope is introduced through which we [now] come close to God.” (Hebrews 7:19) The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil that focuses on what’s ‘right and wrong’ speaks of outward discipline; “Touch not; taste not; handle not...” (Colossians 2:21) The Tree of Life that focuses on an intimate relationship with our Father speaks of an inward discipline of DESIRE. The Levitical priesthood mentality of ‘right and wrong’, of thinking that it still has to be done, will never perfect us. The Melchizedek priesthood mentality of an intimate relationship based upon the ‘finished work’ of Christ understands that we are already perfected IN Him. “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all... But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God... For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:10, 12, 14) Now our focus is simply on being IN Him. Welcome to the Third Day. Welcome to the Melchizedek priesthood. Welcome to a better hope through which we now come close to Him. Welcome to the Resurrection Life that springs forth from the Womb of the Morning!
