Thoughtful people contemplate a variety of deep questions: Does God exist? Does my life have a meaning? Is there life after death? Will I make a fool of myself again this year at the company Christmas party? For me, the question that I can neither resolve nor expel from my mind is: Am I a wave or a particle? I fear that my mental discombobulation may overwhelm me if I should feel compelled to conclude that I am both, and that which I appear to be depends on how I go about adducing proof that I am one or the other. Even worse, if such is possible, would be discovering that I am neither here nor there for sure, but only someplace or another with a certain probability.
