Thoughts About The Devil Wears Prada (Contains Spoilers) Minus - TopicsExpress

Thoughts About The Devil Wears Prada (Contains Spoilers) Minus the beginning sequence (it was apparently important to know what the women getting ready for work, including our protagonist Andrea, wear underneath their clothing...What purpose did that really serve? NONE, yeah. ) and Emily getting hit by a car as a narrative decision, I found The Devil Wears Prada to be an overall enjoyable film. I thought actor Anne Hathaway convincingly pulled off the not fitting in at the start into belonging there later on. I especially liked when she was struggling: torn between a world she knows and another new universe she knew zilch about. Her interplay with Streep is groovy too! Emily Blunt shows how versatile of an actor she is with a nicely done haughty performance as Priestlys senior assistant. When she got ill, I actually felt bad for her. All shes been going towards, is lost. Stanley Tuccis character of Nigel, oh mans, loved him, lol. And even though Andreas assistant job to Miranda Priestly (played by the fantastic and sardonically great Meryl Streep) was incredibly and brutally tough, the dinner in Paris scene where Andy defends her boss, is probably my favorite. After everything Miranda has put her through, and Andrea has done the very best she could, Andy still kindly says what she did to Christian Thompson (Simon Baker). It was also refreshing to see a flick that dealt with Andys job and placed her relationship with her boyfriend on the back burner, for the most part. It would of been cooler if she hadnt been in a relationship in the first place, but, Ill take what I can. Yes, I realize it is based off a book, written by Lauren Weisberger. The original ending is a tad less, positive, in fact, ha ha. Ultimately, The Devil In Prada was a good motion picture that explored the ferocity of the fashion business while also delving into what kind of person Andrea desired to be. Not to mention the experience of getting a job, you basically hated too. Good stuff. Check it out if you havent already! rottentomatoes/m/the_devil_wears_prada/
