Thoughts For Today July 23, 2013 Not many of us are willing to stick out in a crowd. Most would rather blend in and go unnoticed. But when one reaches a point of desperation dignity soon goes out the window. If I was to take you to a creek and baptize you, instead of lifting you out of the water I would hold you under and not let you up, there would reach point desperation would kick in. Because your need for air and the fear of drowning you would quickly get out of your timid nature and do things to me you would have never dreamed of doing moments before. The fight would come out of you and with everything in you, you would do whatever it takes to get away from my grip. You’d kick, bite, scratch, punch as fast and furious as possible. Anything to get some air. What about hunger? If for some unfortunate reason a mother was to ran out of food and was unable to get any for days, a mother with hungry children would frantically take whatever measures to get her babies something to eat. Even if that mother was one of the shyest persons you’ve ever meet, after a bit of her babies hunger cry momma to go and do things totally out of her character to get some food. There’s a story of a man that was full of leprosy. The dear man did something by law he could have been stoned to death. He was forbidden to go near anyone that did not have his kind of disease. His whole life consisted of staying clear of the general public. Anytime he would be outside of his colony he had to announce his uncleanness by verbally addressing everyone with the belittling words of, unclean. One day Jesus came to his town and when he saw him the inward desperation kicked in when he saw his ray of hope. Doing something so dramatic as even approaching Jesus was un-imaginable. But to fall down at his feet and cry out for help was the death sentence for him. Lord if you’re willing you can make me whole the poor man cried. It did not matter who saw him or what others thought of him. Pushing past embarrassment and protocol the man took a darning leap of faith and not only was his life spared, his life was totally healed of that flesh eating disease. In his desperate condition he did a desperate move and the Healer told him something he had never heard before, I’m willing, be cleaned! Jesus even done the unimaginable and reach out and touched him now matter what other thought of Him. WHAT A DAY! As you read this Thought For Today inside you hope is coming to the surface that has been suppressed due to ongoing issues you have been living with. How about you? Are you willing to loose your dignity and push past your shyness and fall at the feet of Jesus and cry out for his touch? There is power available as your eyes read this Holy Spirit inspired message. Maybe even someone is reading this to you because you’re not able to see the letters forming these sentences. Within your heart reach out this very moment and ask the Master to heal your body. He is never too busy to listen to you. As a matter of fact He has been waiting on you to step out in faith and call upon His name. Today my friend I pray the power of God reaches down and drives out every trace of sickness and disease out of your body. THIS IS YOUR DAY! Psalm 107:20 He sent his word and healed them snatching them from the door of death. Roger Webb rogerwebb.org
