Thoughts? From a black horse forum: Per my phone call today, January 6, 2015 at 1:20 PM, reaching AQHA Registry Department: Only the gelding, Playboys in Reno was discussed as the mare is registered under another name than Quintessa. Playboys in Reno was owned by Steve Groves, SD. He was DNA tested in 2006. AQHA only does a DNA test for parentage and a 5 disease panel DNA test, no other test. Asked specifically about a blood test, as per the other threads, alleged Virginia in AHA Registry stated they (AHA) learned the horses were not Arabians from an AQHA blood test. There was no blood test done by AQHA. She checked the records on him. Asked about a DNA Breed Marker test and she said if it was done, it would have been done by other than AQHA. And again, she checked, and no DNA Breed Marker test on file.
