Dressed fast and here I am standing in line at the DMW. Used to be the postal service with the longest line, now its the DMV. After 1 1/2 hours queuing had my turn and what a disappointment, some of their policies have changed. I was told that unless its the due date they cannot issue my sticker. I was told that they can accept a check or money order payment for the registration and will mail it to me. I offered to pay cash but they don accept cash at the window. The window personnel directed me to get a money order free of charge at the nearby grocery store named La Hacienda and do not have to stand in line upon return. I did as instructed paid the window personnel and have to wait for registration through the mail. Just another lesson in life to always read the instructions, just cant rely on the old practice. Despite the inconvenience, had no regrets, had human interactions and made friends with those in line, a Cambodian and Mexican immigrants. They both have their own dramas to tell about their country, the rampant corruption not any different than the everyday drama of politics that is unfolding daily in the Philippines. That’s the other thing, I always find positive out of a negative experience. It’s another adventure in life . . . and talking about adventure here is one essay to memorialize the feeling . . . always make a new adventure . . . “The possibility for adventure is here and now.
