Thoughts about purpose in life . . . Did any of you ever read the book “Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren? From time to time it’s worth revisiting the book. Do you know what’s it’s all about? To sum it up and borrowing the entirety of the author’s summary: “The Purpose Driven Life (2002) is a devotional book .The book has been on the New York Times Best Seller list for advice books for one of the longest periods in history, while also topping the Wall Street Journal best seller charts as well as Publishers Weekly charts with over 30 million copies sold by 2007. The book offers readers a 40-day personal spiritual journey, and presents what Warren says are Gods five purposes for human life on Earth and describes itself as a blueprint for Christian living in the 21st Century ... using about 350 references to the Bible, maybe this amounts to over 1200 Biblical verses and quotes to challenge the conventional definitions of Christian Worship, Fellowship,Discipleship, Christian Ministry and Evangelism. Patanjali with his quote hit the nail on the head to further illustrate the meaning of our true purpose in life . . . When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and your discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” And as I say it here it’s your Purpose guiding your way . . . Discouragement comes from worrying about how. Inspiration comes from diving into the rich feeling of why. When you attempt to work out every detail of every step in advance, it can be confusing and frustrating. To add some powerful clarity, settle on a good, meaningful first step and take it. Yes, it is important to figure out how you will move forward, and to make realistic plans. Yet you don’t have to figure it all out in advance. Getting started immediately is more important than debating with yourself about exactly how you’ll finish. As long as your plans are at least one step ahead of your actions, and as long as you remember why, you’ll be able to keep moving ahead. Your experience in taking the early steps will enable you to more effectively determine and execute the later steps. And in every step along the way, always remember why you have chosen to move forward. Stay in touch with why, and have faith that your sense of authentic purpose will lead you to the objective you have chosen. Step forward, and with your purpose guiding the way, find the path that takes you there.” Here are quotes to illumine your journey to life . . . Act as if you are going to live for ever and cast your plans way ahead. You must feel responsible without time limitations, and the consideration of whether you may or may not be around to see the results should never enter your thoughts. Unknown Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve. Mary Kay Ash “The mind is only capable of creating limitation. It is a limitation itself and cannot ever be anything more than that. So it is only stepping out of this chattering mind that will bring freedom from it and relief.” Julie Sarah Powell Never limit your dreams to only what you can see becoming reality. The universe has infinite ways of bringing desires into fruition, once you allow the possibility by removing your limitations. Danielle Marie Crume Cheers! Joegar
