Thoughts against purity and patience. Thoughts of self love, talking too much and having to high opinion of one self. Not inclined to hear and side with other opinions. Even though you don’t know whether your wrong or not. Against gluttony particularly in eating. Resenting advice you can’t get along with. Don’t make particular friends with any one person. Don’t prefer one to the other. If you are walking with three don’t talk to one about something the other knows nothing about. Be charitable. Keep in mind the aim of the meditation. It is to find any inordinate affections which may stand between ourselves and God. No matter how small the thing may be it is probably holding up Gods grace from entering our soul
