Thoughts for Monday…Multiplication or Division. When I - TopicsExpress

Thoughts for Monday…Multiplication or Division. When I delivered my first daughter, I knew I loved her like no other. A short 17 months later my second daughter arrived and I learned that I had as much love for her as I had for my first daughter. The love for my two daughters was multiplied, not divided. My husband brought a new dog into the family. The love we have for our three dogs was not divided by three, but multiplied. It is interesting though, that when it comes to loving me while loving others, division is required. It is difficult to love and care for ourselves as much as we do for others. So, instead of multiplying the love, we end up dividing it into uneven pieces, with us usually getting the smallest piece. Why is it that when it comes to taking care of ourselves the love is divided rather than multiplied?
