Thoughts for Today July 6, 2013 If I may but touch his clothes I shall be whole she said to herself and that is exactly what took place when she pressed through the crowd and took the most daring leap of faith a person could do during her days. After suffering for twelve years with a bleeding that refused to stop this dear woman was drained of life itself. One doctor after another could not help her. All her money was gone, weak and at her wits end and getting worse everyday. Finally she made up her mind I’m going to reach out and try my best to Jesus, even if I can only touch his clothes I’ll be healed. It’s easy to read this story found in three of the four gospels and not really get the full scope of the effort this woman had to go through to get her much needed miracle. Put yourself in her shoes and imagine the effort it took to do such a feat. Weakness could have been her excuse to stay home and get the much needed sleep her body so badly craves, someone may misunderstand me in what I’m about to do could have ran through her mind but all the excuses did not add up. Her desire to get well overrode all her excuses. After throwing all them aside and refusing to give up a miracle took place in her body. Now 2000 years later we are still reading about this story recorded in the Word of God… WOW! Determination, pressing in, going beyond, never quitting, refusing to stop until! When you have that type of attitude it will not be long until your much sought after miracle will take place. Just how bad do you want a miracle? Enough to never give up until it takes place? Going beyond what other think you should do? Is it in you to never let go? Most today give their “stand of faith” a day or two and throw in the towel. For some folks it’s only hours before they give up. Me, my friend I refused to give in or let go until my miracle took place. I reached a point during the months of suffering with a tumor the size of a football in my stomach that I let it sink deep down on the inside of me, I was going to get my miracle no matter how long it took! A week, a month or years, I made the decision I am not going to let go until my miracle takes place. I rather believe the word of God over all the statistics that were not in my favor, over all the pain I was living through or what others tried to talk me into. If I can stand against the word cancer and come out with a modern day miracle so can you. You may ask me, Roger how do I get the stamina to hold on? The only way is through the Word of God. You have to believe the Word above your present circumstance. God holds His Word above His name. If you will dig deep into the Word of God and place your total confidence there your victory is guaranteed. Holding on at times is not easy but the end results of sickness and a disease eating away at your body is not easy either. Jesus Christ suffered and paid for your healing on a cruel whipping post, then hung upon a cross, died and on the third day rose from the dead. That my friend is the reason you can be healed...... PERIOD! Today reach out and touch Jesus for he is going to reach out and touch you! Roger Webb rogerwebb.org
