Thoughts for the fourth night: we had three forefathers and tonight we bring to mind our four foremothers. Sarah (the name means princess) who traveled with her husband to uncharted lands and became a mother at a late age. Rebecca who bore twins and knew which son should receive the birthright. Leah the sister who was able to marry by deception and Rachel, her sister, the beloved. Four candles, four women; each a woman of valor in their own right.
