Thoughts from a friend on certain verses: So much evil goes on in the world. And it is written that it is just going to get worse. People will be lovers of their own selves, prideful, backbiters, -Ill give you the verses... But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2Tim3:1-7 I have found that I have had to turn away from many people in the church. Although it is a hard thing to do, and I have tried not to, and tried to exhort them, those types dont want to change or believe there is anything wrong. Its best to just lovingly turn away and avoid them like it says. God gives us these commands to protect us and deliver us. It hurts but we can still pray for them. And we can be comforted too, thanks to God. :)
