Thoughts from our church service today: As believers we know that hardships are the beginning of glorious plans laid out by the Father. How depressing it would be to believe that there is no hope after hardship, that there is no reason to endure and that there can be no life after death. I had never looked at the story of Lazarus close enough to really think about this, the Bible says that Jesus loved Mary, Martha and Lazarus so he waited...what?! He loved them so he waited? Yes! He waited because he had bigger plans for their faith than they could fathom! How often do we beg for a minor miracle and then complain when things dont happen our way only to realize that there was some major waiting for us instead? How often do we miss that major blessing because we were so busy throwing tantrums over not getting the smaller one we were asking for? Sometimes the most loving thing God does for us is to wait. I know I say this every week, but I love the pastor that God has placed us under.
