Thoughts on my devo this morn in Acts 14 The bible says that the Apostles Paul and Barnabas went to iconium and preached the Gospel to Jews and Gentiles. The bible even says that The Lord gave them power to do miracles, signs and wonders among the people. The sad part was after these signs and wonders were seen and experienced there was a unbelieving mob of Jews and Gentiles who attacked Paul and Barnabas. The bible says they stoned them! ( not recreational either) My point is this no matter what people will reject the message. The Gospel of Grace is scandalous. It removes our performance( which is rooted in pride) and takes aways all excuses. In the end religious people will feel justified to attack you and the message. As believers we cannot allow the fear of man ( even people we go to church with) to hinder the truth. The Gospel is still good news and its all about Jesus! Its not man trying to get approval from God or adding your good deeds to the finished work of the cross. Its simply JESUS + NOTHING....
