Thoughts on the Dmanisi skulls: if you think that the variation in the Georgian fossil population will show that people have oversplit the pithecanthropine-grade Homo, run the damn specimen level phylogenetic analysis. A tree where some individual Dmanisi skulls pop up clustering with H. rudolfensis, some with H. ergaster, some with classic H. erectus, etc., would be the strongest way of demonstrating your case.
