Thousands have found comfort and peace and were healed of our physical and emotional illnesses and distress in that unassuming place in Maypajo, Caloocan City. It is a community market and home to the Soldiers of Christ Charismatic Healing Ministry of Bro. Alberto Arcadio, its Head Servant, for the past 25 years or so. The Maypajo public market for a time has been a place of worship and a cathedral for 6,000 souls that trooped there every Sunday for worship and fellowship. The 70,000 + strong SOC no longer has its cathedral of praise because the corrupt and greedy Mayor of Caloocan City, Mr. Malapitan, decided to have the market privatized in favor of Lucio Co, the alleged infamous technical smuggler who single-handedly at one time almost brought the local poultry to its ruin. The public market has been dismantled and will soon be known as PUREGOLD. This will certainly kill the small traders who are doing their livelihood in that market. Hundreds of them ceased to ply their wares because government decided that such enterprise is better left to the rich and powerful people who can fund the stay of corrupt politicians in power. In solidarity with the poor traders of Maypajo and my own Catholic community, Soldiers of Christ, I wish to ask you to start boycotting PUREGOLD stores and supermarkets and to likewise start campaigning against Mayor Malapitan of Caloocan City such that he will never be able to occupy a position of power again in his life. Let us together decide to ceased being angry in circumstances such as this and just be resolved to get even. As we say in Filipino - LINTIK LANG ANG WALANG GANTI. Maraming salamat po. God Bless!
