Thousands of e-mails from Boston area listeners who feel their local station abandoned them. This one, from yesterday, is touching and made my day: Monday, May 12, 2014 6:52 PM To: rwilliams@greatermediaboston Subject: The Lost 45s Must Stay On The Airwaves. Dear Rob, I write to you today as a representative of the thousands and thousands of long time loyal listeners of Barry Scotts Lost 45s Radio Program. I came downstairs last night after putting my kids to bed and turned on 105.7 as I do and have done for many Sundays expecting to hear The Lost 45s, but much to my dismay, and rather shocked heard something else. Long story short, I discovered that Barrys show had been cancelled. If I could accomplish one thing via this communication tonight, it would be to convey to you Rob just how important Barry Scotts show is. I have turned on the radio now for 25 plus years, TWENTY -FIVE, and invited Barry Scott into my kitchen with his fantastic library of music, trivia, stories and other goodies...and did one thing and one thing only, I smiled. My friend on the radio set the tone for my wife and I to sing along and dance across the floor. I kid you not, Sunday Night dancing in the kitchen has been a Leahy household tradition for as long as Barry has been giving us songs you just dont hear on the radio anymore. I guarantee you will be very very surprised at the outpouring of sheer disappointment from the long time loyal friends and LISTENERS of Barry Scotts Lost 45s. This radio program needs to stay on the radio, now , and for many years. Feeling happy never ever gets old. Thank you Rob, please reconsider. Sincerely, Mark Leahy
