Thousands of young athletes from across Canada and the U.S. recently took part in the North American Indigenous Games in Saskatchewan. Locally, Trent Lynds of Indian Brook First Nation won silver in Athletics 800m, 1500m and 3000m; Millbrook`s Haley Julien won bronze in Archery and Tracey Denny of Pictou Landing won bronze in javelin. Team Nova Scotia won silver and bronze medals in swimming events, while Team NS also picked up a bronze in softball. Way to go!!!
