Thousands throng Talib’s nomination rally in Rajouri Throw Congress out from ‘corridors of power’, MP Jugal to people ‘Only BJP is strengthening communal bond in J&K’ RAJOURI: Historic rally of more than 20,000 people was witnessed today in the hub of the Rajouri city, amidst shouting of slogans and beating of dhols, former Member Parliament (MP) Ch. Talib Hussain filed his nomination from Rajouri Constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). Former Works Minister was accompanied by MP from Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma, state vice president advocate Vibodh Gupta, IGP (Retd.) Farooq Khan and senior BJP leader advocate Sunil Sethi. A procession was taken out which started from the Shadhara Sharief Shrine in Thannamandi tehsil and assembled at Sports Stadium Rajouri. Later a road show was also organised which reached to the office of Returning Officer where Ch. Talib filed his nomination. A large number of people and BJP workers and supporters on cars, motorcycles and goods carrier participated in the procession and raised slogans in favour of the BJP and Ch. Talib. Addressing to the gathering, BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma claimed that an era of unprecedented development would be witnessed in the days to come when BJP both in the Centre and in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State will initiate its mega projects under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Narendara Modi. Jugal also lambasted upon both National Conference (NC) and Congress parties for their step motherly treatment with the border district in the last six years. He appealed people to strengthen the BJP candidate which according to him is the most experienced and intelligent personality in the area, moreover, he is familiar with the gross root difficulties and problems being faced by the general public in their day to day activities, Jugal added. He further said that the Congress is the root cause of every problem in the State and the time has come that the people will throw it out from the corridors of power in State too as they did during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Speaking on the occasion, Vibodh criticised MLA Shabir Ahmed Khan for not coming up to the expectations of the people and his failures to develop the constituency to which he belongs and more interestingly when he was himself a minister for various departments in the present government. He also asked people to teach a lesson to the local MLA this time by casting their vote in favour of BJP candidate on 20th December, 2014 for the betterment of the district in general and the constituency in particular. Farooq Khan and Sunil Sethi also addressed the people and highlighted the achievement registered by the Modi led government in the Centre for the past more than six months and they also apprised them with the policies and schemes to be implemented by the BJP Government after coming to power in the State. They apprised to the people that BJP is the only party at this juncture of time which is trying its best to strengthen communal harmony among different communities and Rajouri is the best example of such a gesture. They appealed people to cast their vote in favour of Ch. Talib and advised them to remain cautioned in the coming days as the opposition parties are trying their best to create a wedge among them on the basis of cast, creed and colour. Prominent who spoke and present on the occasion were— Senior BJP leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta, ex-municipal chairman Rajinder Gupta, Atam Gupta, Bashir Bhat, Advocate Asif Iqbal, Dinesh Sharma, Darbar Choudhary, Dr. Rashid, Dr. Nissar, Ranjeet Tara, Azam Choudhary, Asif Choudhary, Dr. Missri Vishal Dutta, Varun Chandan, Koushal Gupta ,Raja Rattan, Ashwani Chandan, Shallu Saraf, Vikas Gupta, Radish Sharma, Aditya Mahajan and various panches and sarpanches from different villages of the constituency.
