(Hunter McGee/Union Leader Correspondent) DERRY – Two large cakes were ready to go Saturday in preparation for the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Derryfest in MacGregor Park. As many as 5,000 people were expected to attend the special event, said Michael Gendron, co-chairman of Derryfest. Gendron said he expected attendance to top last year. Over at the Wildlife Encounters booth, Derry resident Theresa Rosenzweig smiled as Sid, a Moluccan cockatoo, spun around and playfully strutted. Rosenzweig, who has two cockatiels and a cockatoo, said she was drawn to the display.
