Threat for extended period of heavy rain across The Florida Panhandle beginning tomorrow evening and enhancing through Sunday and Monday as an area of low pressure is forecast to lift into the panhandle bringing with it a deep and very moist tropical airmass before tapering off Tuesday. Generally 1-2in of rain is expected in southeast alabama with isolated higher amounts but I feel the biggest threat area is the panhandle where rainfall amounts of 3-6in very possible with isolated amounts of 6in+ also a possibility depending on if thunderstorm training sets up over the same areas and for how long this occurs. Will be monitoring this situation as flooding may become a serious concern in urban low lying areas creeks streams and possibly some small scale riverline flooding as well...stayed with us for more and pass this along Joey Brown
