Three Cuban Boxers to Participate in World Combat Games Cuba will send 3 boxers to the 2nd Sport Accord World Combat Games to be held October 18th through the 26th in the Russian city of Saint-Petersburg. The head coach of the Cuban team, Rolando Acebal, announced that it is an event that coincides with the World Championship, and therefore they cannot compete with top-level figures. However, both Jose Angel Larduet, a bronze medalist in the Milan-2009 World Championships, Marcos Forestal, and Ivan Oñate, will be able to give a good performance. Under Coach Julian Gonzalez Cedeño, these 3 boxers will form the small Cuban delegation to this invitational event, which also includes judo. The event is organized by Sport Accord (International Sports Combat) and is expected to be attended by 1,300 of the best athletes in the world. The games will feature 15 Martial Arts and Combat Sports, Aikido, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, Kendo, Kickboxing, Muaythai, Sambo, Savate, Sumo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Wushu. Additionally, the Combat Games will feature a cultural program reflecting the ancient traditions of martial arts as well as the social and cultural values of the 15 sports and the event as a whole. Topics will deal with the cultural dimensions of the martial arts and their social value and contribution to society. Osleni Guerrero To Attend International Tournament The Cuban Osleni Guerrero, best player in Latin America, will take part from this Wednesday, at Badminton International Tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Guerrero, number 66th in the world ranking, will be the 3rd favorite in the lid after American Sattawat Pongniarat (48th of the globe) and Israeli Zilbermann Misha (54th).
