Three Examples of Really Cool Stuff: 2014.10.04 1) I was a little tired today, probably because of all the walking Ive been doing. Still, I managed to walk down to the Farmers Market, and to have a cup of coffee while I was there. I also did some cleaning and tidying up today and, of course, I fit in a nap. 2) I dont like buying much at a time like this, and Ive managed to go without much. There were, however, a couple of things I needed or could use. My major purchase was a fabric steamer, bought at Janalyns suggestion. Actually, it works really well. I steamed the wrinkles out of dress shirts and slacks without having to break out the ironing board and, as a bonus, I used it to steam clean my kitchen counter and a few other stubborn surfaces. Overall, its a pretty doggone good investment. 3) I had a nice time at Justins birthday party this evening. Its always nice to talk Steelers football with him, and it also was nice to chat with his girlfriend, Caroline, who organized the whole thing. After the Huskers finished choking for the evening, I went to Rednecks for a bit; I talked to Marla and just barely missed Angela. Again, Dave was an outstanding DJ. The humorous part of going to Rednecks, by the way, was dancing with a charming young woman who apparently wanted to go back to texting as soon as possible. Whats the point of showing up at a bar alone, only to text, I have no idea. Still, she danced with me a couple of times, and Ill take that.
