Three Months ago, I was coming from Kampala to Mbarara in a Bismakhan Bus. When we reached Masaka, a young boy entered when the bus stopped so that we can buy drinks, eats and ease ourselves (in case one wanted to) A boy was around 19-21 years old, Much as he was handsome and Innocent, but he looked weak and not healthy as if he was under poor conditions. The Young man entered when the Conductors didnt notice, he tried to travel all the way to Mbarara dodging paying. The inspector of the bus soon noticed a new face as the young man tried to hide it, Very soon he was caught, after asking him, He said that he had been in Prison for the last two months, yes-his conditions and looking witnessed and testified it. He said that the environmentalists caught him as he was urinating near the lake and imprisoned him, He did not have the Transport to take him to Mbarara thats why he sneaked inside the Bus to find his way home. However much he explained no one could understand his situation, no one could sympathize with him, In fact some Passengers started calling him a thief others called him a terrorist forcing the Conductor to check in the Black Kaveera (Polythene Bag) which he was Carrying and see if there was a Bomb, hmmmm it was just his other T-shirt. I had no single coin left in my Wallet, I could have paid for him may be, when he gets home you never know, tell his mum how I helped him in a bus, the old mum could pray and send blessings to me, Besides, helping others who are in need is not Bad.(Blessed is the hand that gives) I think we do not need to help others when we get rich, but rather with the little we have, it can be of help, But Nevertheless I had nothing. The young man was taken to the Police station of Mbirizi (a town between Masaka and Mbarara) I dont know where it all ended. Listen! The world has Changed more thieves, more murderers, More thugs are now more than ever, But should that mean we lose a sense of humanity and helping??? Some people have been in Problems and are still in Problems. It only needs our little help to get them out of those problems, But instead we put them in More Problems. God willing, If I get rich, God willing if I continue with this heart, I must dedicate a Portion to Charity. It still hurts me to see that I never helped however much I could have helped.
