Three Nigerian nationals killed Three Nigerians were shot dead in Voortrekker Street on Saturday June 22, at around 6pm, in what is suspected to be rivalry between two groups. 24 June 2013 | Maile Matsimela Police spokesman Capt Mack Mngomezulu said five men arrived in a green BMW and opened fire on three men in a cellphone shop. "All the deceased were Nigerian nationals and their assailants are also believed to be Nigerian nationals," said Mngomezulu. The motive for the killing is unknown but police suspect possible rivalry. All the men were shot more than once. Police found a licensed firearm belonging to one of the deceased on the scene and several spent cartridges.
