Three days! THREE! I am beyond excited to see each and every one of you down in Snook. I havent met a vast majority of yall but thats all good, in Snook were all old friends. The beer selection is great, the food looks awesome, and danggit it is so nice to sit back and just enjoy some live TEXAS music and drink some TEXAS craft beer. Gates open at noon on Friday, and Candice can use all the help that yall can give her to load in. Besides, who wouldnt want to be the biggest Billy badass at Chilifest carting in ~200 cases of Texas craft beer?!? Im telling you, our beer selection puts nigh on every store in town to shame. The looks you get when walking in with all of that Texas gold is amazing, the comments you get are great, the jealousy you hear from other teams is UNREAL! Also, getting there earlier, means you get first pick of some of our limited selections of beer! As a friendly reminder, Chilifest is usually dusty and/or muddy. It also tends to drop 40 degrees Friday night, regardless of what the forecast says. I always advise people to bring a jacket just in case. Now, ladies. We DO have a lockbox for your purses, but please, please, please keep them of conservative size, with over 200 people on our team, that box will get full in a hurry! There are also only two keys to it, so youre going to have to find a key holder every time you want in and out, have some consideration for the key holders, they want to enjoy their weekend too. Last, but certainly not least. Make sure to tell Candice you appreciate all of the countless hours of work she has put into this! From experience, Team I Heart Beer is one of the most rewarding projects that I have ever been a part of, but it is also one of the most time consuming, there is SO much that goes on behind the scenes, So, So, So much. Tell her thanks, send her a message, give her a hug, buy her a starbucks giftcard, buy her a beer, take her to dinner, something! Shes done a great job this year.
