Three killed in fresh communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar ------------>>> At least three people were killed tonight in fresh outbreak of communal violence in Uttar Pradeshs Muzaffarnagar district, hit by riots last month in which over 50 people lost their lives and nearly 45,000 people were displaced. Sources said a verbal spat between people belonging to two communities turned ugly, leading to the clashes.Senior police and district administration officials have rushed to the spot. The situation is tense but under control, sources said.Last month, Muzaffarnagar witnessed violent clashes which erupted in the aftermath of the killing of three men in August, two Jats and one Muslim boy. The violence spiraled as incendiary speeches by politicians and rumours fed the simmering tension between two communities.Three MLAs were arrested and half a dozen others have been booked for inciting the violence, which is now being investigated by a one-member judicial commission.Thousands of families still living in relief camps have refused to go back to their villages out of fear. Many of them said they saw their relatives attacked and killed by their own neighbours.
