Three men are in custody and a man is in hospital after an apparent assault in the CBD this morning. Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were patrolling the CBD when they saw a man lying injured at the intersection of Pitt and Park Streets about 2.15am today (Monday 30 June 2014). Witnesses told police the man had been assaulted by several men who had run away. The 22-year-old man, from Woronora, man was treated at the scene for head injuries before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital. Three men were arrested nearby and have been taken to Sydney City Police Station where they are assisting detectives with their investigation. Detectives are hoping to speak with the injured man once he is deemed well enough.
