Three shots to ZERO. You can sight in your scoped rifle within three shots. Set a target at about 25 yards. Put your rifle on a secure rest like sandbags, sack of dog food, or whatever. Line up the crosshairs on the center of the bullseye and carefully squeeze off a round. After firing, reposition the crosshairs to the exact spot your were aiming. You can now carefully move the crosshairs to the bullet hole in the target. This will put you very close to X. Take that third shot to check it out. This will get the basis work done for you. When you move out to 150 yards, you will have to adjust for elevation. Some shooters start at that distance and shoot up boxes of ammo trying to find the target.
