Three things that I have recently noticed which infuriate me: 1. Arguments from emotion: A knee jerk reaction that within a few days will seem as stupid to you as it does to all around you when you first state them. Also when youre trying to get to the heart of a problem or argument, these people are the first to attack you on a personal level rather than attack your argument. 2. Arguments from experience: A thing happened to you once and you used it to confirm your previous assumption; Thats not logical. I dont care what you think you know, if you cant share it and let other people use it and test it then you simply dont know. 3. People who constantly get the wrong end of the stick: I am convinced that the majority of our everyday life arguments and problems are a product of not conflicting views, but a misunderstanding of our own language. The amount of times I have spent hours on a single paragraph to make sure it has no loose ends or ambiguous statements and then instantly had someone make a statement against something which I was not even saying is ridiculous. Not being able to see where my grammar points in my sentences is a sign that you dont understand your own language. The next time you get into a trivial argument with someone, consider what I have just said and try to figure out if my problem is also yours. I would be interested to know if that is just me.
