Three tremendous things about this scene: 1) Rose saying, I dont want to take it easy! because sometimes telling people who are scared or angry or agitated to take it easy is a pretty crappy thing to do and sometimes its downright oppressive and violent; 2) Blanche saying AIDS is not a bad persons disease. It is not God punishing people for their sins, because its not, and 24 years later we all need that reminder from time to time; 3) this aired in 1994. *****1994***** God bless the Golden Girls for speaking out when they did, and God help us when we lack the prophetic vision of a sitcom.
