Three weeks after using Hartz UltraGuard Flea Spray, two of my cats had died. Both were large 8-9 year old males (half-brothers, same mother, different litters). Not elderly by any means. A third, younger female (not related) appears to be doing okay. A genetic intolerance to the spray perhaps but this does not make one feel any better. DO NOT USE THIS FLEA SPRAY, or any other anti-flea treatment, without first testing in small amounts (but most likely ineffective to fleas) and note any adverse reactions. It is one of the worst things in the world to feel that you pulled the trigger (spray bottle or otherwise) on your beloved pet. Please share so that my little tragedy doesn’t become someone else’s.
