Three who fired shots in air nabbed...27/6/2014 AHMEDABAD: Three persons who fired shots in the air near Marutinandan Hotel in Sola during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday were nabbed by crime branch sleuths on Thursday evening. According to crime branch sources, Mastan Arvind Patel residing in Naranpura, Vatsal Choksi residing at Goyal Intercity at Thaltej, and Kunal Shah residing in Vikram society at Usmanpura are friends and gone for dinner on Wednesday night. Later, Arvind and Vatsal had a quarrel after which Arvind fired shots in the air from his .32 caliber licensed revolver. Arvind said during interrogation that he had fired only one shot while complainant Prakash Prajapati claimed that two shots were fired, said inspector Bhavesh Rozia of crime branch. According to the complaint lodged by Prajapati who owns Bherunath tea stall near Marutinandan Hotel, three youths after coming out of the hotel came to his tea stall in a silver-grey Honda City car. One of them got out of the car. He seemed to be drunk. He approached Prajapati and demanded keys of the car from him. When he realized that he was talking to the wrong person, he went near the car and started screaming at two others, said officials. After a scuffle, one of the three took out a revolver and fired two shots in the air. However, the three then got into the car and fled the spot. The tea stall owner managed to note down the registration number of the car, said crime branch officials.
